Barnstormer Women's Crop Tee | Slim Fit

After the First World War, surplus Curtiss Jennies sold for a few hundred dollars, and barnstormers flew them from town to town selling rides at county fairs.

The Barnstormer is a cropped crew in a soft 4 oz jersey, cut to hit at the waist so it works with high-rise jeans or shorts. It's the same combed ring-spun cotton and polyester as our women's tees, light enough for an airshow afternoon in July.

Our propeller crest rides on the left chest, a full-size crest spans the upper back, and the right sleeve carries the salute: We Salute Our Veterans, Thank You For Your Service.

The flag on that sleeve runs stars-forward on purpose. On a military uniform the flag on the right shoulder is reversed so the stars lead, as if it's flying in the wind while the wearer moves forward.

Measured laid flat. Body length runs from the high point of the shoulder to the hem. Chest width is measured 1 in below the armhole, side to side, so double it for the full chest. Easiest way to pick: lay a favorite tee flat, measure it the same way, and match the numbers.

How does it fit?
A cropped fit that sits at the waist. A medium measures about 19.6 in across the chest laid flat and 20 in long. Want it a little longer and looser? Size up one.

Why does the flag on the sleeve look backwards?
